Eau Claire's North Side Hill Neighborhood is located high above Dell's Pond, which is what locals call the Chippewa River upstream of the hydroelectric dam.
Real estate in the North Side Hill neighborhood is affordable and many of the homes were built within the last 50 years.
Parks
Mt. Simon Park is a 49-acre park located on Dell's Pond with dramatic hills. This park also contains hiking trails, a boat landing and dock, picnic pavilions, lighted sand volleyball courts, and an 18-hole disc golf course.
Mt Tom Park shares Mt Simon Park's rugged topography. Mt. Tom Park is mostly woods but does have picnic tables, walking paths, and a service road.
McDonough Park is located along the south banks of Dells Pond. It is accessible from the northernmost point of Centre St. McDonough Park has a pavilion, tennis courts, a backstop, and a skating rink (in winter).
Schools
Longfellow Elementary School is located in the North Side Hill neighborhood.
